Contract/Guarantee:
The following is our standard puppy
contract/guarantee:
The puppy you are buying is very special to both his
breeder and his line. The puppy requires lots of love, attention, exposure to
both people and other animals, and a minimum of training to become a well
rounded individual that will be a credit to both you and his breed. The puppy is
quite capable of learning a wide variety of different things. Treat him as one
of the family and he will bring you years of love, joy and happiness.
The Buyer agrees to all of the following terms contained
within this contract as condition of purchase:
The puppy is guaranteed to be in good health upon delivery and to have
received proper vaccinations according to age; to be free of internal and
external parasites; and to be accompanied with the appropriate State of
Florida required health certificate.
The puppy is guaranteed to be free of genetic health defects for two years or until
the dog is bred. Genetic defects include any defect which your
veterinarian certifies is a genetic defect, regardless of whether it is
hereditary or congenital. This puppy is guaranteed to be free of contagious or
infectious diseases for 14 days. If the dog is medically confirmed to
have such a defect, the Seller will either:
A. Refund the cost of veterinary expenses related to
certifying & treating the puppy's illness up to the price of the puppy for
contagious or infectious diseases diagnosed within the first 14 days after
purchase; or the puppy may be returned for a full refund & full
reimbursement of the cost of veterinary expenses related to certifying the
puppy's illness up to the purchase price of the puppy.
B. Refund the cost of veterinary expenses related to
certifying a congenital or hereditary defect for the first year after purchase
along with reimbursement for veterinary expenses related to treating the
congenital or hereditary defect up to the purchase price of the puppy; or the
puppy may be returned for a full refund & full reimbursement of the cost
of veterinary expenses related to certifying the puppy's defect up to the
purchase price of the puppy.
C. After the first year, if the dog is medically
confirmed to have a genetic defect (& upon proof of spay/neuter if the dog
was sold intact) the Seller will replace the puppy with a puppy of equal
value. Once the dog has been bred, there is no provision for refund or
replacement at any time, for any reason.
The Seller will provide proper AKC registration papers at
the time of sale, unless stated under special conditions of sale below.
The Buyer agrees to take the puppy to a Veterinarian for a health check within
48 hours of receipt and report the results in writing to the Seller.
The Buyer agrees to notify the Seller before transferring ownership of
the puppy and give the Seller the opportunity to repurchase or assist in the
placement of the puppy, if necessary.
The Buyer agrees to send the Seller a photo of the puppy once a year.
IF the puppy has been sold as a show potential puppy, the Seller states that
at the time of sale, the puppy appears to be of AKC conformation show quality.
Due to the many factors that contribute to the show ability of a dog, the
Seller makes no other guarantees as to the quality of the puppy. If the
Seller does not later release the full registration of the puppy, the Seller
will refund the difference between the pet and show price of $________.
The puppy may be returned for a full refund (less shipping
costs) any time during the first 48 hours. No reason is needed. The
Buyer is responsible for all shipping costs.
The Buyer agrees to take to the puppy through at least
one 8-10 week basic obedience class.
The Seller agrees to refund the price (up to $75.00) of a
basic obedience class upon receipt of passing. The Seller agrees to
refund the price (up to $100.00) of the spay/neuter costs upon receipt from the
veterinarian.
The Buyer agrees that the Dogs AKC registered name will start with the name
Sardi.
